Woodford-managed Omnis fund hits £100m in six months
Openwork is pleased to announce that its UK equity fund, managed by Neil Woodford of Woodford Investment Management, has attracted more than £100m in the six months since launch.
The fund, a bespoke UK Income & Growth mandate employing the approach and style that has characterised Neil’s illustrious career, became available to Openwork advisers in February 2016 through the network’s investment proposition Omnis.
The fund, which takes positions in both listed and unquoted companies across the UK, is among a range of sector funds which form the basis of Omnis’s risk-rated multi-asset model portfolios. As with all the funds in the range, the Omnis UK Income & Growth fund is only available to Openwork advisers through their platform relationships.
Omnis attracted more than £160m in the second quarter of 2016, placing it among the biggest net retail sellers in the UK despite widespread industry outflows and Brexit volatility.
Philip Martin, Marketing Director at Openwork, says: “The partnership with Woodford Investment Management is extremely valuable to Omnis and it is fantastic to see our advisers embrace the fund as enthusiastically as they have since its launch in February.
“Omnis is fast becoming a force in the UK retail investment market and we look forward to growing our relationship with Neil and his team as we continue to build on the encouraging strides we have made so far.”
