Cofunds and Threadneedle are delighted to announce that they have agreed a long term partnership arrangement and both organisations are now working together to plan and deliver their support to the adviser market in 2010.
A key part of the planning process will be about how Threadneedle can tie in its activity to the recent announcement of Cofunds’ strategic tie up with the independent research house, OBSR, to deliver a range of researched funds solutions in 2010, which is due to launch imminently.
Russell Lancaster, Director of Fund Manager relationships at Cofunds, said: “We will be working with a range of fund managers in 2010 to enhance the level of support we give advisers and we are clearly delighted to be working very closely with Threadneedle. This will ensure that we are able to provide advisers with a proposition which supports their businesses and clients now in readiness for RDR. The strategic work we do with different types of fund managers will ensure we bring diversity and choice to our approach. Having Threadneedle’s seal of approval through this partnership is further evidence that we’re getting it right.”
Gary Collins, Head of UK Wholsesale Distribution at Theadneedle, said: “We have worked closely with Cofunds in recent years and are delighted to be continuing this relationship going forward as a strategic partner. We believe that with our recognised strong performance combined with the research capabilities of OBSR and Cofunds award winning platform, we have a compelling proposition in the retail market.”
