Thesis bolsters Guildford office with Royal Bank of Canada hire
Thesis Asset Management has hired Tim Harman as an investment manager as part of its ambitious growth plans.
Harman, who has more than 15 years of experience within financial services, was previously head of Canadian equities in Europe for the Royal Bank of Canada, and has also held roles at BMO Financial Group and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Harman will be responsible for new and existing client relationships, as well as helping to grow assets for the Guildford office which currently manages over £120m.
He joins the business in a period of growth as it looks to expand following the acquisition of DFM Cambridge Fund Managers in late 2017. Thesis hopes to make more acquisitions in the coming months.
“We are delighted to welcome someone of Tim’s expertise and experience to the office in Guildford,” said Lawrence Cook, Director of Marketing and Business Development. “We are confident Tim will be able to help us in delivering what is an ambitious growth strategy following the acquisition in 2017. This appointment signals our intent in growing this office and the wider business, and I am sure Tim will be at the forefront of that initiative.”
Harman added, “With discretionary investment management growing in popularity as advisers delegate the service on behalf of their clients, this is a great time to be joining Thesis. I look forward to working closely with the research and investment teams as we grow the business still further through 2018 and beyond.”
