Phil Haworth appointed deputy head of equities at Kames Capital
Kames Capital has named Phil Haworth deputy head of equities.
In his new role, Haworth will support head of equities Stephen Adams, in running Kames’ 30-strong equities team whose capabilities include multi-cap, smaller companies, absolute return, ethical and unconstrained investing. Haworth will continue to co-manage the £241m* Kames UK Equity Fund and £3.1bn** Aegon UK Equity Pension Fund as well as contributing to Kames’ asset allocation research. He will also continue in his research duties for the oil & gas and food producers sectors.
Haworth joined Kames (then Aegon Asset Management) in 1995 directly from Oxford University where he studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics.
