Kames Capital reinforces its fixed income team
Kames Capital has appointed Bjorn Norrman as a financial credit research analyst as it looks to further strengthen its fixed income team.
The appointment of Norrman comes as Kames Capital looks to reinforce its fixed income team after recent departures and follows the recruitment of Laurent Frings as lead of credit research in December,
Norrman joins Kames from Fitch Ratings, where he worked for eight years, most recently as senior director, financial institutions where his responsibilities included heading up its Nordic credit research coverage and previously a similar role covering the Benelux. In total he has over 12 years’ financial services experience.
In his new role Norrman will be part of Kames’ financial credit research team working alongside head of credit Iain Buckle, Laurent Frings and Alex Pelteshki and will report to Kames’ head of fixed income Adrian Hull.
Hull says: ‘Bjorn, with over eight years’ credit rating experience, will be a valuable addition to our fixed income team, as we look to further strengthen it following the appointment of Laurent in December. Working within the financial credit research team, he will work alongside our investment managers, helping develop ideas and strategies for their funds.
Kames Capital’s chief investment officer Stephen Jones: ‘The addition of Bjorn underlines our continued commitment to broaden and strengthen our fixed income team, bringing together a range of experience and skill sets to our 22-strong team. It also again highlights how we will move quickly and decisively to reinforce the team when we identify a suitable candidate to fit into our team based investment approach.’
