Pensions 2040: What will be on the trustee agenda?

A lot can change in 15 years. Back in 2010, the pensions world looked completely different: no auto-enrolment, no Pension Freedoms, and the triple lock had only just arrived. Fast forward to today, and trustees are managing tighter regulations, rising state pension ages, and the pressure to digitise and invest responsibly.
As we hit the midpoint of the current decade, and with the Pension Investment Review and other incoming regulations about to further change the landscape as we know it, we at MRM can’t help but wonder, what will be on the agenda for pension trustees in 2040?
We asked leading industry voices to share their predictions, from engaging younger members to the future of ESG and consolidation:
• Cath Collins (Quietroom)
• Chris Connelly (Heywood)
• Matt Dodds (NextGen Pensions)
• Danielle Higgins (The Tracing Group)
• Jonathan Parker (Redington)
