Kames Capital strengthens award winning fixed income team
London – Kames Capital has strengthened its award winning fixed income team* with the appointment of Greg Mackay.
Mackay joins Kames Capital as a fixed income investment manager, working in the government bonds team, with specific responsibility for derivatives. He will report to Kames Capital’s joint head of fixed income Stephen Jones.
Prior to joining Kames Capital, Mackay was head of fixed income and derivatives at Nationwide Building Society, where he was head of a team of 10 responsible for the Society’s liquidity book and the interest rate risk arising from its business. He and his team were also responsible for structuring and hedging the Society’s retail savings, mortgages and commercial lending activities.
Prior to Nationwide, Mackay has been the director, UK rates and inflation sales at Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets and director, inflation trading desk at Citigroup Global Markets.
Jones says: ‘Greg is an excellent addition to our team. He has a wealth of experience across fixed income investments and in particular derivatives and this knowledge will be greatly utilised as we look to enhance and develop our business and product offering.’
